Rooted at Horicon Marsh: DIY Pollinator Planters

May 4 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

$20.00

Looking to make a big impact in a small space? Learn how to turn a little dirt, the right plants and an old wash tub into a pollinator invitation! Start this class with a touch of container gardening basics and a dash of bee biology. Then, roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty as we assemble the perfect mix of plants for your small space. You will need to provide your own 18”+ container – upcycled is best! That old soda crate or galvanized tub sitting around will work perfectly! We provide the soil, plants and bee house material! Head home from this class with your own personalized, mobile bee habitat. This would make a great gift for Mother’s Day, or the pollinators in your backyard! Limited to 10 participants, ages 18 years old and older. Pre-registration and a non-refundable $20 fee are required.  Pay online here and please register below.  Call Jennifer Wirth or Amy Meyer at (920)387-7889 for questions.

This class is full.  If you would like to be placed on a waiting list please contact Liz Herzmann at 920-387-7893 or elizabeth.herzmann@wisconsin.gov.
