Rock River Archaeological Society Speaker

December 18 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Rock River Archaeological Society 2019-2020 Programs

All programs are held at the Horicon Marsh Education and visitor Center at N7725 Hwy 28, Horicon, WI.
The public is invited, with doors opening at 5:45 PM and beginning at 6:30 PM. Access can be made from
the upper parking lot until 6:30 PM or at the lower doors for the whole evening.

November 20, 2019 – Kelly Bleich doing a program on the passenger pigeon that used to darken the sky but
are now extinct.

December 18, 2019 – Rock River Archaeological Society presents its own “Road Show”. Everyone, members
and public, are welcome to bring an item that needs identification.

January 15, 2020 – Lahnie Neu, Curator for the Satterlee Clark House in Horicon, WI, since 2006. She will
share history of the 1885 home and an 1881 school house plus display artifacts.

February 19, 2020 – Benjamin Talbot and Archan Sramek will present program on the Lakota Sweat Lodge
Ceremony.

March 18, 2020 – Bruce Markert will present “Pre-Historic Organisms that live in waters tell the health of the
stream or river.

April 15, 2020 – Steve Rogstead of the Sheboygan County Research Center and Lincoln expert will present
“Lincoln in Wisconsin”.

May 20, 2020 – Jessica Michna of Historical First Impressions, will present “MARY TODD LINCOLN: “A
Widow Forgotten”
