Night Tree Storybook Trail

December 23, 2019 - January 31, 2020

Looking for a way to fight off winter break boredom with your children?  Bring them to the Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center trails for a hike around Indermuhle Island, which has transformed into a storybook trail.  Enjoy a walk around the Island while reading a charming nature story that comes to life right in front of you.  Begin your storybook trail on the boardwalk and when you step off the boardwalk to the island, turn left, and the story trail wraps around the island.  Our first story for the winter storybook trail series is Night Tree, written by Eve Bunting and illustrated by Ted Rand.  Walk through the endearing Christmas tradition of one family, and maybe start a new one for yourself!

This trail is an easy walk of less than 1.5 miles.  Perfect for kids and families. We hope you enjoy these new trails and come back for future stories!

We hope to see you at many of the events that the education center has to offer.  All events are subject to change, for detailed or additional information on any event please visit www.horiconmarsh.org. The Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center is located on Hwy. 28 between the cities of Horicon and Mayville.  For more information please call Liz Herzmann at 920-387-7893 or e-mail her at elizabeth.herzmann@wisconsin.gov.
