Morning Birding Hike

July 9 @ 7:00 am - 10:00 am

Free

July 9: Morning Birding Hike 7-10am. Grab your binoculars and discover Mud Lake Wildlife Area in Dodge County. Depending on water levels, we will cross over the Beaver Dam river to bird at Waterloo Quartzite Outcrop State Natural Area. We will explore many habitats, including riverine floodplain marsh and old growth oak-hickory forests, working together to build a checklist for this SNA.  DNR Staff Jeff Bahls and Erinn Kronebusch will lead a hike that is excellent for birders of all levels. Binoculars will be available for loan.

Directions: From the intersection of County Rd. J and County Rd. G in Reeseville, head south for two miles on County Rd. G.  Turn east onto Mud Lake Rd., continuing for one mile as it turns south, until the Mud Lake Rd. Parking Lot, where we will meet. If using GPS, coordinates: 43.274801, -88.838091
