DIY Pollinator Planter- Cancelled
May 16 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
The DNR will cancel the following events: DIY Pollinator Planter
In light of COVID-19, our teams are closely following guidelines from the Department of Health Services (DHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization (WHO).
May 16: DIY Pollinator Planter 10-11:30am. Looking to make a big impact in a small space? Learn how to turn a little dirt, the right plants and an upcycled container into a season-long pollinator invitation! Start this class with a touch of container gardening basics and a dash of bee biology. Then, roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty as we assemble the perfect mix of plants for your small space. You will need to provide your own 18”+ container – that old soda crate or galvanized tub sitting around will work perfectly! We provide the soil, 10 plants of your choice, and bee house material! As a bonus, our friends at Taylor Creek Nursery will be on hand, offering additional plants at their amazing prices. Bring some extra spending money to add more color to your container or buy enough extra plants to make a second mobile bee habitat when you get home! This would make a great gift for a friend, or the pollinators in your very own backyard! Limited to 20 participants, ages 18 years old and older. Pre-register using the form below. Then submit the non-refundable $20 fee here. https://www.horiconmarsh.org/product/rooted-at-horicon-marsh-diy-pollinator-planters/ Call Jennifer Kakatsch at (920)387-7889 or Liz Herzmann at (920)387-7893 for questions.
