Back to Basics: Fire Science-Cancelled

June 23 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

The Wisconsin DNR continues to follow the State of Wisconsin’s Badger Bounce Back Plan for the health and well-being of all Wisconsinites. Phase 1 of the plan limits the size of in-person gatherings, and many June events will be canceled, including the upcoming Back to Basics on June 23. Thank you for your interest.

June 23: Back to Basics: Fire Science 10-11:30am. Learn about ways fire is useful for people and for nature, and some of the things that fire needs to keep itself burning. We will also do some hands-on practice with skills needed to safely build and maintain a fire all by yourself. Learn some helpful tips and maybe even get a fire started without a match. Free and no registration required.  Best for children 7-11.

We hope to see you at many of the events that the education center has to offer.  All events are subject to change, for detailed or additional information on any event please visit www.horiconmarsh.org. The Horicon Marsh Education and Visitor Center is located on Hwy. 28 between the cities of Horicon and Mayville.  For more information please call Liz Herzmann at 920-387-7893 or e-mail her at elizabeth.herzmann@wisconsin.gov.
