Speaker: DNR Assistant Bear Biologist, Linda Olver

The black bear is a high-profile, native Wisconsin mammal. The black bear population has grown in the last 20 years and people are now observing bears in southern Wisconsin counties. Linda Olver will present details on black bear biology, behavior and their expanding distribution throughout Wisconsin. Learn about common misconceptions about black bears, what to do if you encounter a bear, and tips for living and recreating in bear country.
