Education Center

Located on Wisconsin Highway 28 between the cities of
Horicon and Mayville and close to major population
areas, the International Education Center architects
recommend LEED Guidelines at a Silver Certification
Level for an environmentally sustainable facility.
Sustainable site features include limited site disturbance
with storm water management and erosion control
systems to protect both marsh and groundwater.
Additional environmental features are landscaping with
indigenous plants and a rainwater capturing system for watering the landscaped areas. Building features include optimized energy performance through natural day lighting and high performance glazing, and extensive use of recycled products from room finishes to interior insulation. New Facility Features Include:

  • A large viewing area with spectacular view of the Marsh.
  • A Children's discovery room with hands-on displays.
  • Two classrooms with seating for 30 each and the ability to open to one room.
  • A high-tech auditorium with seating for 100 with a wide-screen, high definition, multi-media rear projection screen.
